Keep witness.

Sixele is a private place on your phone to keep a record of what is happening to you. Only you can open it. Nothing in it can be quietly changed later. And you choose who can act on it if you cannot.

Sealed records

A record no one can rewrite

Write what happened, or add a photo, a voice note or a document. The moment you save it, Sixele seals it with the date and time.

If anyone changes it afterwards, even by one letter, the seal stops matching, and that shows. So when you need it, for a protection order, a criminal case or a divorce, your record can show it was made when you say it was, and has not been touched since.

A court decides what evidence it accepts. Sixele is built to give your record the strongest footing it can have.

Private on your phone

Yours to open, and no one else's

On your phone, nothing shows the Sixele name or mark, and no notification does either. Your safe opens only with a phrase and a PIN that you choose, and you practise getting back in before you rely on them.

Here is the limit, plainly: this protects you from a glance at your phone. It cannot protect you if someone forces you to unlock it, or goes through your phone closely. If that could happen to you, keep a plan for it too.

What this does
  • Shows no Sixele name, mark or notification on your phone
  • Opens your safe only with your phrase and PIN
  • Slows down guessing, and never wipes your record
What it cannot do
  • Stop someone forcing you to unlock it
  • Hide from a close search of your phone
Guardians

You are not alone

Choose a few people you trust as your guardians. They install nothing and see nothing in your safe. If something happens to you, your file opens only when two of them agree that they cannot reach you, so no one person can open it on their own.

You can also set a time to be home by. If you do not say you are safe by then, your guardians are asked to check on you, and only after the hours you chose can two of them open your file.

If there is no one you can safely ask, we want Sixele itself to be able to stand in as a guardian. That is not built yet; it is part of what we are raising money for.

Getting Sixele

Install it when you are alone and your phone is yours to use. App stores keep a list of what you have downloaded, so it may show there.

Not in the app stores yet Sixele is being built and has not been released. When it is in the stores, this page will say where to get it. Until then, nobody should trust it with anything that matters.
If you are in danger now Call the police on 10111, or the GBV Command Centre on 0800 428 428. The Command Centre answers day and night.
